This Refund Policy describes how Sunlit Scent LLC processes refunds after a return has been received and approved according to our separate Return Policy. Please refer to our Return Policy Link for information on eligibility and how to initiate a return.
1. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are issued only for items that have been:
- Successfully returned to Sunlit Scent LLC according to our Return Policy.
- Inspected and approved by our returns department.
- Associated with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
2. Refund Process
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification confirming receipt and informing you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approval: If your return is approved (meaning it meets the conditions outlined in our Return Policy), your refund will be processed.
- Rejection: If your return is rejected (e.g., the item is not in acceptable condition, the return timeframe has passed, or there is no valid RMA), we will notify you and explain the reason. We may offer to return the item to you at your expense, or, depending on the circumstances, we may offer a partial refund or store credit.
- Original Shipping cost: The refund will be issued for the original value of the item(s) purchased, deducting the initial shipping cost.
- Refused/Undeliverable package: If the order gets refused by the recipient or the delivery address provided is incorrect, the original shipping fees will be deducted from the refund.
3. Refund Amount
- Standard Returns: For approved returns that meet all criteria, the refund amount will be the purchase price of the returned item(s). Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Damaged/Defective/Incorrect Items: If you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item and followed the procedures outlined in our Return Policy for such items, you will receive a full refund, including the original shipping charges.
- Restock fees: We do not charge restock fees.
4. Refund Method
All approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment used for the purchase. This means the refund will be credited back to the same credit card, debit card, PayPal account, or other payment method used for the original transaction.
5. Refund Processing Time
- Please allow 5 to 10 business days from the date we receive your returned item for your refund to be processed.
- After we process the refund, it may take additional time for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or credit card issuer's policies. This is typically an additional 3-5 business days, but can vary.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Gift cards are non-refundable.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable (except in cases of damaged, defective, or incorrect items as described above).
- Items returned without a valid RMA, or items that do not meet the return criteria outlined in our Return Policy, are not eligible for a refund.
7. Changes to this Refund Policy
Sunlit Scent LLC reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
